On LMF029 ‘Tame the Gain’ we respectively welcome Melbourne’s and Prague’s finest in the form of Uone & Shades of Gray. While Uone is no stranger to the Berlin scene, having played the likes of Kater Holzig, Sisyphos, and Bachstelzen, Shades of Gray have made a name for themselves with a string of excellent releases on diverse labels such as I Records, King Street and Beef Records. Together the illustrious trio pulls out all the strops on their Light my Fire debut. Here, both ‘Tame the Gain’ and ‘Cosmic Galaxy feat. Bonsai’ are dominated by fat basslines and stomping kicks, without ever being too serious: perfect for those peak time sets. The originals are complimented by a strong and diverse set of remixes by Joshua Jesse, Be Svendsen and DJ Schwa.
